No address in 'To' column

Hi.

I have a query.
When one of my friends sends me mails to my gmail id from his office id or from his gmail id... I get the mail.. but the 'to' column is always empty.
How does that happen?

Help please. Can somebody clarify me.

A screenshot isn't going to do any good. You will visually see that the to field is empty.

This one friend, is this the only person that this happens with? If so, does he use the same method to send each time? Meaning, does he always use Outlook or Outlook Express to send from both accounts?

This is something that he is doing on his end. I'd almost be willing to be that he is using a desktop email client and adding you in to the BCC field. That would be a sure way to make this happen every time and Outlook will allow you to send only to BCC addresses.

You can check the sending agent by opening a message, on the right next to reply click the down arrow and select show original. Look for User Agent or Mailer or something and see how he is sending these messages. I am not sure about this part, but look in there also and see if it says BCC and then your address. That would settle this.

OK, then go talk to your friend and see how he is sending you these messages. This is almost certainly something on his end and not yours.

OK, this just happened to me. A co-worker put me in the CC field and failed to add the recipient in the to field. To filed was blank but I show up in the CC field. Makes me more certain that the cause is on your friends end.
