Gmail + IMAP + AVG 8 + Thunderbird

Hi

I run three imap gmail accounts using thunderbird and it all works fine. I have recently installed AVG 8 but it dosent seem to monitor my email at all. Not that sure it needs to to be honest but I am sure someone here willl help me.

It really doesn't need to as the mail is filtered for viri by Google. I use Avast which works just fine with Thunderbird and Gmail. Don't know a whole lot about AVG any more.

Hi Thats what I was thinking that Gmail is pretty good at filtering viruses and spam before I see it in thunderbird.
