Gmail time

Hi

Whenever we send or receive an email. The time shown by gmail is specific country's time or GMT or what?. If I ( India)am sending email to someone( Australia) will he get time on his email according to AST or IST.

I think it's whatever time zone they want to set on their Account Settings.
