new IGoogle - hyperlinks not working in Gmail

Ever since I have been subjected to the new IGoogle hyperlinks that arrive in Gmail are not working.

i.e. - I had to cut and paste the activation link in the message from googlecommunity

I haven't changed any settings, so I am in need of some direction

Thanks

Same problem - any answers out there?

Sorry for jumping on your thread! I've got exxactly the same problem of unclickable hyperlinks in my gmail account - I even had to copy & paste it to join this forum to post this.

Anybody out there with an answer? I'm been using gmail for years, this has happened recently using the new version, still the same if I select back to older version. Hyperlinks are ok in my Yahoo account and everywhere else on 2 comps running XP Pro SP2.

Thank you.

Hope this 'bumps' the thread

No problem... the more the merrier

I have found that if I open my Gmail inbox from the Igoogle page the links within the messages work then, but still do not from opening an individual message from Igoogle

Snap Judgment: How Do You Like iGoogle's Canvas View?

I found that someone else has your problem in IGoogle about hyperlinks, maybe it's more common there? However, IGoogle is not something I use.

My problem with hyperlinks is definitely just Gmail both in Firefox 2.0.0.17 with Gmail Notifier addon and IE7 - so it's not browser related. Hopefully there's some smart user out there with some knowledge re this problem.

What Happened To My Hyperlinks In Gmail | Internet Marketing For Newbies

You may have noticed the new look with Google and Gmail in iGoogle. All the links in your email from gmail are now not working. If you wish to restore these links, follow the following steps as outlined by Google:

To enable this feature in Gmail:

1. Sign in to Gmail.
2. Click Settings at the top of any Gmail page.
3. Set ‘Browser Connection’ to ‘Always use https.’
4. Click Save Changes.
5. Reload Gmail.

Update:

When you click on your Gmail inbox, look in the upper right hand corner and click on “Launch Full Gmail”, this will bring back the full version of gmail with all the links active.

Yeah, the gmail widget in igoogle is worthless. No ability to click hyperlinks and the autocomplete is missing a ton of addresses for me: if it's someone that I didn't know a year ago their email address doesn't show in autocomplete. It's basically a reader; I think they should remove it until they get it actually working. I've posted a message in the igoogle developer forum and gotten no response. It's pretty annoying.

Edit: also, the answer above would only work for gmail proper, not the igoogle gmail widget, afaik.
