Contact Photo not displaying

I've assigned photo's to many of my g:Mail contacts. For most of them, when I move the cursor over the name, their photo pops up. But for others, this doesn't happen. All I see is their e:Mail address. However, when I edit the contact, I see the photo just fine. All photos are jpg, and uploaded as "My Pick". I've even tried changing Settings\Contacts Pictures between "Show all pictures" and "Show only my pictures", but nothing seems to solve the problem. I just don't understand why it works okay for some contacts and not others.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
