Gmail on your cell phone!

I just wanted to let everyone know about this website http://www.gmailwireless.com/ (not affiliated with Google). It's a great site that allows you to view your account in a very easy to read format on a wap enabled cell phone.

Just go to sign up (on your home PC) and it will e-mail you the directions. It's as easy as can be. If anyone has any questions I may be able to answer. I have worked in the wireless industry for over 5 years now...

Everyone let me know what you think!

Ok I can understand why they have wap.gmailwireless.com for WAP enabled phones but why pocket.gmailwireless.com for pocket PC, it’s not really necessary I guess there must be some pocket pc’s that have trouble with gmail or because the interface is quicker than using the default one.

I'll have to test it out later.

I was using the pocket pc at work to check my mail, and it looked like it didn't format correctly for the screen size.

With the gmailwireless.com address i think it takes out all the ads and gives you a more basic interface...

I definitely love it because it gave me the chance to get my mail. there's a program on the "get it now" section of verizon that is designed for pop3 mail accounts, but the security was too low to make it work for gmail, but this works great!

OK... So I have been trying to log in to my e-mail on my phone all day and I keep getting an error message.

"ERROR: Gmail Wireless: Not really connected to Gmail. Please signin again."

Then it doesn't work. I'm getting ready to take back all the nice things I said above...
