Vacation leave notification

What's up forum,

I'll be out of town for a few days. Is there anyway to set up Gmail to have a vacation leave notification whenever an incoming email comes in? Kind of automatic reply like some other email providers do. thanks a million for any suggestion.

Can I set a vacation auto-reply?

Answer
You can’t currently set up automatic replies to incoming messages in Gmail, but we’re working on many new features to improve our service. To suggest a feature, please contact us.

Hmm.. for some reason I'd thought they added automatic reply at some point. Maybe I'm just thinking of message forwarding.

with all the features GMail has, you would think they'd have that feature, one of the most popular ones lol. one thing i could think of to sneak by it would be, signup for yahoo, then a yyahoo mail account, then in gmail forward ALL messages to your new yahoo account, and then in your yahoo account just put a vacation message, that way they'll get the message and with gmails features i think you can keep it in your gmail mailbox, so that way it will auto-reply from another email, just change the FROM email. thats one way i can think of before they make that feature.

Yea, I think that gmail is supposed to have auto-ignore and auto-notification so that my bot clients won't be worried about their bot services lol.

I would love an auto reply. I travel often and I like people to know why I am not able to answer the emails when they send them.
