Anoyyed By Gmails Automated Message?
Is it just me or whenever you contact Google about Gmail when you have a problem they never answer you with a non automated message it really gets on my nerves!
Has anyone actually got a proper reply from Google or do they only send automated messages? |

I have gotten many replies from Google, it's just a matter of waiting. A lot of sites will acknowledge that you've sent a question by sending an auto-response first.

Because human interaction is more personal and cangive more explanation than a computer reading an message automated messages are not as helpfull (Normaally) than a message from a real person!
Oh and my query did get answered after the automated message! Lupine1647 is exactly right you do just have to wait again though sometimes they don't reply! |

I've received quick replies via Adsense and Adwords emails. I haven't ever written them about Gmail. I just assumed they would not respond because the service is still in Beta mode. Do they request feedback for Gmail? Most companies do want user feedback during beta testing, but not sure about Google.

it's both a drawback and benefit to use a large service like Google that must, due to the size of its user-base, communicate mainly by automated means.
Sure, you get auto-acknowledgements, but the degree of feedback that they get means that problems are usually identified and dealt with quickly. But it certainly shows how swiftly people have come to take a free service for granted. Some people pay (or have paid) handsomely for less service, and had their complaints and questions ignored altogether. Hard to beat the quality-to-price ratio, here. |
