reactivating a deleted gmail account

I had a gmail account that I deleted. Now I am realizing that many of my important emails are still being dispatched to that address. Is it possible I can reactivate it? How can I reactivate it? I am grateful for any solution proffered.

Just hope you can use the same username as before when you register a new GMail account. Otherwise, you're stuck.

if you do that i don't think all the emails will be there. if it is shut down and some1 sends you somtihng it should be say can not send invalid email address.

it works on most email systems but you will never be able to get the emails that that account received between deactivtion and reactivation.

I dont think Google will let you re-activiate your account.

the only way you can get it back is re-register it again and i said be fore you will not be able to get the emails that you has or got send whilst it was deleted.

yeah ok, Does anyone know how to get into your gmail with out being on gtalk, because i lost my password, and i never took notice of 'my sercet question'

I know only of three things you can do -
1) Remember your password
2) Use the "Forgot your password?" process and remember the answer to your Question
3) Contact Google
