Official Gmail Notifier or Gmail Notifier Firefox Extension?

Between the Official Gmail Notifier, http://toolbar.google.com/gmail-help...x?promo=gdl-en, and the Gmail Notifier Firefox Extension, http://nexgenmedia.net/extensions/, which one would you choose?

NOTE: The Gmail Notifier Extension for Mozilla Firefox is, quote: "...probably against your Gmail agreement..."

I like the Google Talk notifier. Otherwise I'd have to go with the regular notifier app since it runs in the tray instead of dependent on a browser.

Well, personally, I agree with nullvariable. I like the Google Talk GMail Notifier because I've got Google Talk, and I don't need to download anything extra. What would you choose, FFVII.Cloud.182?

I'd prefer the Firefox extension, though the Google Talk noification system makes the official Gmail notifier seem a bit redundant, doesn't it?

I totally agree with you about the Google Talk GMail Notifier making the official GMail notifier seem a bit reduntant. But I just want to know one thing - why would you prefer the Firefox extention to the Google Talk GMail Notifier? If you want to know why I am asking you this, just know that I am a bit curious.

i don't use either notifier and just rely on gtalk. one set back of the notifiers is that you are always logged into google and therefore all of your searches are automatically saved in the "personilzed" search results. i love me some google and all of there products but would rather not divuldge this info to them as far as what i'm searching for.

I'd choose the Firefox Extension, but, since it's probably against the Google Agreement, I think I'd go with the Official Gmail Notifier

I'd really like to know why you think that the Firefox Extension is against the Google Agreement (not that I use it). And who are the creators/makers/manufacturers of the Firefox Extension, anyway? And one more thing... why would you prefer the Official GMail Notifier or the Firefox Extension to the Google Talk Notifier?
