Auto-save & Export contacts

Quote:
What's new on Gmail?

Just Launched!

Auto-save
We spent 20 minutes writing this entry, and then the browser crashed. Good thing there's auto-save. It saves. Automatically.

Export contacts
Export your Gmail Contacts and save them in a file for back-up or to use in another account or service–great if you're using Gmail's free POP access. Learn more

More ways to access your Gmail account
It's now easier than ever to get to Gmail: Go to your Inbox from any web page with one click from the Gmail-enabled Google Toolbar. See your new messages directly from your personalized Google.com homepage. And search for messages even when you're offline using the new Google Desktop.
The Auto-save feature should be very useful. I wonder if it helps any with lost connections. (Will it warn the user if Auto-save fails?)

I knew about most of those...

Hi intelliot,
I knew about "More ways to access your GMail account" and "Export contacts", though I've never used the free POP access GMail offers. But it's the first time I've ever heard of this Auto-Save feature of GMail (probably because my browser's never crashed). Where did you hear about it? By the sound of it, it must be quite (I actually mean "really") helpful.

Auto save function is useful for those who use unstable browsers for ex. Internet Explorer on unstable platforms like Windows
I really like the Export Contact feature, it is very useful, specially for those who use 3rd party email clients.

I understood, but...

I understood what the program Wine does, but what does it have to do with Windows Explorer being unstable on Windows itself?

What I meant by my 1st statement is Internet Explorer is an unstable browser.
And Windows is an unstable operating system. (Internet Explorer is not the only web browser available for Windows rite? )
Sorry If I haven't make it clear on my first reply, because English is not my mother language...
Any way what I want say is If you have a stable browser & it is installed on an unstable OS, that system as whole is unstable.
But if you are using a stable browser on a stable OS, the system is very reliable, so you don't need any extra tool for auto-save.
Hope you'll get it right this time :P

It's OK now, kesara. I understood what you wanted to say (or what you wrote).
