Question Problem with AT&T and Gmail

Since Thursday evening I have been unable to access Gmail.

I'm on mac. Tried Safari - Tried FF 3. Even booted into Windows to try Chrome or IE.

I've reset my modem (AT&T DSL), and my Router (Linksys Wireless G).

Tried forcing mac to flush the DNS via the terminal.

Still nothing.

My friends with AT&T haven't had problems.

Gmail notifier works, and teases me every time I get a new message.

oh my gosh, I am having the same problem, and about ready to scream. if you figure this out, PLEASE contact me...I'm so frustrated.

I just set up gmail with imap. it'll work for now. If I fix it, great - if not, oh well.

I assume you are on mac. If so:

macosxhints.com - Configure Mail for Gmail POP access

If not, google gmail with POP or IMAP.

the only thing that has worked for me is viewing my incoming messages in igoogle, but i'm not able to send messages from there.

as far as imap, i did set up an account in Mail, using the pop settings, which seems to work, I guess...but it obviously does not allow me to chat from there...

this is so incredibly frustrating to me. i hope that they figure it out...i HATE using mail, and I just wish it would work. it's been down since thursday. i've called ATT and they're obviously idiots and have no clue what is going on with it...claiming it's a gmail problem. and i can't even access gmail's help page to submit anything to them.

i hate to just sit back and hope that it will fix itself...but i don't know what else to do.

hi aaron! thanks again for all your help. i appreciate you posting the problem. at least i knew it wasn't just me. did you ever reach a conclusion or find a way to make it work? it's still not working for me. =(

hi Folks,

I have a windows mobile 6.1 device, and I have other IMAP accounts using
Gmail directly that connect just fine.
