Why does gmail keep asking me to change my password? In other words for months, when I try to login with the correct password, gmail says it is incorrect them makes me change my password over and over again to access my mail. It has happened so often that I never close my different mailbox accounts.
The team at "1Password" tried to figure it out for me but couldn't. It does not matter what browser I'm using or cookies disabled or not. This is very exasperating and I cannot believe that others would not be experiencing the same thing. If you understand what's going on and can tell me how to correct it I would be greatful. I've had gmail for about 5 years with no trouble untill this started happening about 6 months ago. Thanks, unclewiggly |

The same thing is happening me. It is not allowing me to access my account unless I change my password. This is really ridiculous. Why I have to change my password because I think my password is strong enough.

I have the same problem and gmail support is very, very poor, for such a rich company
Hi all,
I have the exact same problem. Quite often my girlfriend tries to log into her gmail account but finds that her password is longer valid. Luckily she has my email address as the support address for password reset. Actually I always know when has trouble accessing her email because I receive the email to initiate password reset. It is not her asking for the email to be reset, somebody or something has initiated. Is this to bug her? This type of protection for the email account is totally flawed, because one can abuse or hassle somebody by knowing their email address being able to reset their password. This is a real hassle. Also, Google is a very profitable company, and are so because of us, the internet user who use all their services, principally google and gmail. Do remember, google lives off advertising. Advertising is only valuable if there is a target audiance. Thus, even though google say their services are free, they are not, somebody always pays, and we are their most valuable asset, the user. This being the case, I really regret that support for google services, such as gmail is so poor. I have found no way to contact somebody at google to explain to them my problem. This is the general case of "cheap services" having poor support. If google do not pull their socks up as a company in customer service, they are going to suffer. At least microsoft has telefone support, and you do not have to see adds when you use their software, which at the end of the day will probably save you money! So I hope somebody can help me in contacting google directly, or that enough people start to see this type of post and understand that too a certain extent they are at the loosing end.
