Question about multiple accounts

Hi,

Sorry if this isn't the correct place to ask this question, I'm new to these forums.

I have multiple accounts set up on Google. I have a native gmail account (i.e. XXX@gmail.com), and I also set up a separate account using my yahoo email address (YYY@yahoo.com). Now if I try to add my yahoo email as a separate address on the gmail account, I get this error:

There's already a Google Account associated with this email address.

I'd like to consolidate these into one Google account. I'd like to delete the yahoo account, and add the yahoo address as an alternate email on the gmail.com account.

It seems like this might work, but the help screen indicated that I might not be able to reuse the account name after deleting it. This is OK (i.e. I don't care about creating another google account in that name), but I wanted to make sure that I could then add it as a separate email address on the gmail account.

Can anyone confirm that this will work? Or point me to the right place to get more info on this?

Figured it out myself. I was able to change the address on my YYY@yahoo.com gmail account to a different email, and then I was able to add my YYY@yahoo.com email account as an alternate account onto my gmail account....

You will not get back the deleted email account forever.

Did u mean u still wanna use the yahoo mail as the account mail of your new google mail after u deleted it of another mail???

It is a common rule that one email adress can only be used to apply one account!
