New Official Tool from Google: Gmail Notifier beta!

There have been 3rd-party tools that do it, but now you've got it from Google.

"Check your Gmail messages without opening your browser"

I like this tool a lot; I feel more safe knowing that it's an official Google tool.

You just never know what those other tools have with them, like spyware or other kinds crap. I rather trust google than anyone other persons independant "Gmail Notifier"

But that is just me.

If you leave your Gmail account opened in a Mozilla/Firefox tab (I use Mozilla, but if you use IExplorer you can have a new window), the program itself checks for new messages, so if you (like me) normally have the browser opened you don't need another program running in your system.
But, after all, it's a matter of likes and/or dislikes
