Space Locker abuse of contact list on GMAIL

I received an email from an old friend inviting me to join "spacelocker".
I joined using my gmail account and they downloaded my contacts sending each an invite to spacelocker without my consent or notification.

Spacelocker.com makes quite unclear on their website where to file complaints.

According to what I just found on Wikihow, if you sign up with a Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail or AOL account, and use the same password at Spacelocker as for your email, they will automatically grab your contacts and put them on your Spacelocker address book.

I've never used the service before, but I imagine during signup there was something that suggested sending invites to Spacelocker anyone you add to your address book although I did not realised it neither found it evident in the registration process.

I believe it is an infringement of my right to privacy and an outrageous abuse of trust of GMAIL users.

Nor a warning or either a pop up ever came up to inform me of what was about to happen.

I think that Google should not allow this to happen and they are responsible as much as Spacelocker.

Google should not allow spacelocker-like service to access the contact list without a set of passages, possibly more clear than the one I have experienced today.

This is a fraud and it should be stoped immediately. Most important Google should highlight into the "search" engine beyond any doubt that services like "space locker" come with a burden.

I have attempted some searches and I did not find a single warning of this unfortunate possibility (sending to my contact and unintended invitation to the spacelocker services).
