New signin for G-Mail?

All of a sudden this afternoon when i sign in to my g-mail account, I enter the correct username and password the it acts as if I entered it wrong, asks for it again with a spot below to enter a keyword as you see it.
Anybody else get this or is this something someone come up with to try and swipe account login info?

gooogle did this to prevent hackers from brute-forcing passwords. just to make sure a REAL human is entering them!

I was going through the contact list, and strangely I had an email of a person that I never received or sent an email to... It wasn't even anyone I offered an invited to. Strange.

I'm guessing it's part of the beta testing thing where they see if something works or not.

If you donated an invite or gave it to anyone, the person who registered will appear in your contact list. Also, the person who invited you will be on your contact list.

Today when I was setting a new account for someone, after several failed tries at coming up with an available name, I got the "keyword" thing. Not sure what that's all about.

Thats one thing good about Gmail tho, nor hotmail or yahoo have provided such thing with logins, and for bruteforcers it would be taking centuries to crack 1 password. They would have to have to exact username/password and the random word wich is almost impossible with a program/software

I have been thinking about the whole keyword thing, and wondered why hackers aren't smart enough to do the following. They can still brute force a site, all they have to do is create a program that tries the username with a different password, BUT saves the picture to a file and the hacker himself can put a word to the keyword and the program can then use that word and send the password. But I guess the bruteforce would still become a pansyforce.
