I look at it as an overall product. Yahoo mail is very market-driven. I can't even access their mail, without accepting their corporate partnerships. In this case, freaking Sympatico.ca services. They keep restructuring their services to try to force me to use a homepage that they provide, before I can get to my mail account. It's very much like their companion products. Yahoo has Geocities. Sure, a forerunner in offering free webspace, but plagued with pop-ups, banners, and branding that is entirely absent with Google Pages. I'm just saying that, as a corporate model, Google has breezed past Yahoo, and blown their doors off. |
