Would u buy Gmail?
If Gmail costs money, say like 5 pounds/euro's each month. Would u buy it? with that I mean Gmail Final Version not beta phase of it.
If u had 1 Gb, several message templates to choose from and a nice smooth speed of it. Would u really buy it or let it go? Please tell me your opinions about it Greets, KidGoku (kidgoku@gmail.com) |

Yeah me neither would pay for Gmail, only incase I really need the MUCH mb on my email's wich will never happen.
Just some money spending, soon hotmail/yahoo will increase their mb also to 1 gb or something i heard from a news article :O So the best of all is search a good nice email provider (Usually your own ->ISP<- Email provider provides the best one). GreetZ KidGoku (kidgoku@gmail.com) |

I'm also happy with my hotmail account, Just was curious about that people would buy it, if it costed some money, but let's say it costed 2/3 pounds/euros would u buy it still or let it go and go to ur favourite hotmail/yahoo/email provider?

As much as I like Gmail, I doubt I'd pay very much if anything for it -- or any email service for that matter. Surely not $30 to $60US. For $7.99 or thereabouts a year I can buy a domain name of my own. For another $5.00 a month I can rent webspace or thereabouts from a hosting provider. True, that works out to me more expensive, but it has the advantage that I can be AnybodyIWantToBe [at] example [dot] com.
With the size of hard drives expanding as rapidly as the prices for drives are dropping, devoting a gig on my own computer to email storage isn't a problem. But that's just me. |

I wouldn't pay for an email service that you can also get for free. Sure it might not be as good as gmail, but will be free. And the main thing of an emailservice is the actual sending and receiving of emails. Yahoo does that, so if gmail would cost money I would go back to yahoo. Yahoo is also quite nice (not as good as gmail thought imho) and could do just fine.

I don't think I would think twice about that question. I would never pay for Gmail. No matter how good it is. There are other free 1 Gig email services, like Walla (http://www.walla.com). And while Gmail might be much better, I think there will always be free email services, so I don't plan on paying for any email services.
Yahoo is now offering 100MB of storage, and Hotmail is planning on offering 250MB of space. While I do think Gmail is great, and now the best mail service avalible, I wouldn't pay for it. Mostly because I'm too cheap -Julien |
