GMail login keeps making me type the word in the picture!

how do I make it stop this. It no longer allows my Firefox Gmail notifier to work either. Now everytime I want to login to gmail, it takes me there like normal at first, then it makes me retype the password along with the word it displays in the picture! Why does it keep doing this everytime?!?! It is very annoying, please help!

Have you tried clearing your Google cookies?
One may have become corrupted.

How about Google identities (for any Google service)?
Do you use more than one? Or does anyone else using that computer, that may have (for example) just closed the browser, instead of logging out of another identity?

Try use Internet Explorer. If it doesn't work then it might be Gmail service issue.

I had the same problem, really annoying... but I found clearing the Temporary Internet Files and the Cookies seemed to have helped, I dont know which one it waz that helped, or both, but It fixed it... I think it only happened after a couple of incorrect logins... peace
