Email gets Lost?

I've had this problem a couple of times where emails I sent just sort of vanish. But now I have someone who used msn messenger to send me an e-mail, and in 10 hours I havent received, but I've received test ones since then.

Is their anyway of trying to redownload my emails from the server?

Well, if the e-mail is not in your Gmail box anymore. Then no because there's nothing to download it from.

I noticed sometimes that Yahoo and MSN take a long time for E-Mails to get to my gmail account, but take milliseconds to get to my MSN or Yahoo account. I think this is an attempt from Yahoo and MSN to make it seem as if gMail is slowing down, and/or losing e-mails.

That or Gmail is just slow or one of the nodes between each is just slow.

I send mails with attached elements up to some mb's from Gmail to Hotmail accounts and they never take longer than 5 minutes, but sometimes it gets to a hotmail inbox quicker than to others, even if I sent them in the same mail
