automated reply?

Hey does anyone know how I can make an automated reply with my gmail email so If any one emails me My email will automatically send them a reply?
e.g. automated message>
thanks for emailing me but i am not online at the moment but i will get back to you as soon as i check my inbox

ALSO does anyone know how i can get a @gmail adress now instead of the long @googlemail.com???

About using Googlemail - I think I have a solution. Ask somebody in GC to invite themselves (they must not be in the UK or Germany) and then they will get an @gmail.com e-mail and could PM or e-mail (so it's private) the Gmail account details (username and password). You could then change your password to stop whoever it is viewing your e-mails.

Nothing you can do about the logos - I hate it too.

Okay why again?

It's the same service, just use a proxy to register a new account and claim yourself to be living in the states.

And right now, there is no autoreply feature.
