Making mail pubilc

Hey, dont you think by making Gmail public it will sort of takeway the feeling of this new gmail email?
I'd like it to stay like it is people can get invites easily!
also it may slow down the servers a bit if you know what I mean

Gmail is over a year old. It's not new.

I sort of agree with him, in that it makes people feel, 'special', not quite short bus style, but still... I like how people can only join if they really want to... Unlike myspace, and alternate email clients ... It really is easy to get a gmail invite, everyone has atleast 19 of them...
