the great gmail giveaway

i dont know if this has been posted yet but on friday Kevin Rose will be giving away 500 invites on his site in one big post. i believe he will get way more than that tho to give away. already ive seen a lot of people has donated and i even put in 15. he will make the post 5:00pm PST (8:00 EST). its gonna be havoc.

Everybody is going to rush there, and his server is going to lock up and nobody will be able to get there.

ah, but it will be fun watching the people rush for the invites. i already got an account so i will just spectate... spectate and laugh.

haha. Yup it will lock up and everyone will get an error. I am still going to try anyways. Try to get one for my dad. He own's a bussiness and needs a good email account. I feel sorry for him. He is still using yahoo. If I can't get one then I will give him one of my invites if I have any left by September 3rd. hehe.

well they are done collecting invites it seems. kevin got over 500 sent to him in 1 day! that is insane! it will be chaos. i bet he will have to get a dedicated server to handle the load!
