Error on gmail?

When I try to get to gmail, I get a warning window that says: Oops...the system was unable to perform your operation ,Please try again in a few seconds

Other people at work have gotten this message as well, and it just started today but has happened every time I try to open the page, so I can't access my email.

Is this a known issue?

Personally this hasn't happened to me, I just signed in to check and it's working for me.

It hasn't happend to me today, but it has happened before. If you wait a little while and try again it probably will work again.

If the message showed, visit https://gmail.google.com to access gmail.
But yesterday a JavaScript error happened to me, this make me could not login Gmail. It is OK today.

i got the message yesterday, however i could also log in. May be a temp snag!

This happens at work, but not at home. Could they be blocking the IP address at work if alot of people signed up for gmail at once? We've been passing around invites, probably 40+ in the past week. I also have a Mac at home and windows at work, could this be the problem?

No, gmail doesn't do that. It could just be that when everyone is signing into gmail at work, the work internet connection is getting overloaded and rejects some requests for gmail. It could also be that gmail was down at that time (uploading new site or editing database). Thats the regular message that gmail gives you when there has been a problem in communication, whether there was no communication, little communication, or broken communication. I also got that error when my browser didn't allow its cookies and also when the site it was trying to go to was blocked. I don't know why the site was blocked, I think it had something in its URL, maybe xxx in the coded part and my browser was kinda paranoid from all the antiviruses I was testing for my friends.

its usually down at 5-6 for me, cause thats when people usually get on.

I agree. however my experiences with gmail is excellant so far. Did you notice the poll results? it is 50% each. this probably implies that there are more users now, and the infrastrucure needs upgrading. prbably gmail is at it and that may be one of the reasons for the error messages.
