Gmail invites

Hi. I just opened my inbox recently only to see that my gmail invite count that had been at 19 all along has now soared to 100. Is this a mistake or is this normal Gmail being as brilliant as always? Nice one!

I wonder if it's just the length of time that you've had the account.
I noticed that the older ones had 50, then a hundred, some time ago; and it was only more recently that they started off so low.

Maybe that's the fate in store for all Microsoft Beta Testers! Beware!

It isn't weird that your invites have increased, but for them to be taken away is rather conspicuous. Grossly, I might add. Remember when the invites were given out in '5' and '10' increments, then '15'...

I found something great on Google a while ago. If you search on Google within the gmail site and take out the phrase help centre and some others you get all the Gmail invite links. Most do not work but some do.

Anyway, there are still loads of invites available on the internet, so I wouldn't worry about losing them.

Discovering little surprises like that are nice. It isn't a mistake, it's just Google restocking your supply.

they set you up with 19 invites as time goes by google keep on topping up your ivite quota up to 100. It used to be 50 but after the release of Google Talk it has gone to 100.

Any way that is what i have found

The invites aren't even that important anymore. Any Joe Blow can go to www.gmail.com and signup using their mobile phone. The invites are simply to refer people or save someone the trouble of using their mobile phone.

For a very long time now I have had 100 invites. I send one or two and before the day is up, I am re-stocked to 100. Invites aren't far and few between anymore and being concerned about having them, well, just isn't worth it.

Every Joe Blow doesn't live in the US, and have the option of that sign-up method.

But, yes, it's not hard to get an invitation. Some people would just like to have them to give away, themselves.
