setting Gmail as "default mail program" for inter

is it possible to set Gmail as "default mail program"?
clicking ==> File ==> Send ==> Page by e-mail
or Link by e-mail


calls my Outlook Express, wich is defined in my
internet options as default e-mail programm, i would like to use Gmail instead.
I am using microsoft internet explorer on windows xp prof

You might have had better luck posting this in the Gmail Forum. I assume it'll eventually be moved there.
Anyway, from what I understand, some third-party program might be the easiest way to do this.

For example, the Gmail Notifier has the option within it to set Gmail as your default mail program.
