They are reporting that this feature is out, but I don't have it yet. Been waiting for this one.

I think everyone has been waiting for it too, but I don't think Google included originally because their campaign is that you don't ever have to delete anything.

It's out. I just created a new account, and it has that feature. It's pretty helpful, as I get quite a lot of "delete-right-now" e-mail ( ), for which I need to click on More Options and then on Send to Deleted Items.

But I don't get one thing. I've noticed that my Gmail account doesn't have any of the features Google released after I signed up. It doesn't have the web-clips option, nor the vacation responder, and now not even the Delete button. Maybe I should talk to Google about this.

Edit - Goodness. I now noticed that when I changed my language to English (US) from English (UK), I got all the three new features. I'm going to tell Google to implement the features in the UK right away.

You are exactly right, Google's philosophy is to never delete mail. I'm glad they listen to their public though, something Microsoft is beginning to understand.
Why someone would want to collect eMail messages is beyond me. Sure you would keep important mail and conversations from distant relatives, close friends and such, but the rest of it from every Tom, Harry, Veronica, Sally...

IamTheKing9, they are punishing you for having too many eMail accounts. Be patient, you will have all the bells and whistles soon. The UK is never far behind when Google rolls out its new features. If I remember correctly, much of the Voice-Over-Internet Protocol is being tested there first. Correct me If I'am wrong googlers, I know you will.

I've just had the same experience as IamTheKing9.
I switched my language settings to English US (from UK), and had the elusive button appear.
Also, web clips are now present in this account for the first time (although they had been added to another some time ago.
Many and mysterious are the ways of the Beta.

GMail will be in an eternal beta-testing phase.
Anyway, I always had my language set to "English(US)", so there was no delay in getting new features activated.
