Gmail servers down??

font size="3"Hi all,brbrI use Thunderbird as my mail client to access my emails from 3 gmail accounts. Since this afternoon, I receive all the emails in the various accounts, but it seems I just cannot connect to send out mails. I've checked Thunderbird settings. All are as they should be.brbrI can send and receive directly from the gmail webmail accounts.brbrHope this is the right forum to post this query and hope someone can help.brbrThanks/fontbr

font style="color: rgb(0, 128, 255);" size="2"spanI cracked it! Workaround ways. I just could not understand what waswrong with the limited knowledge of the tech bits of Thunderbird. Ichecked, rechecked, yet again, to the point that even 'check' wanted tochange its name. Just no go./spanbrbrspanI then decided to do exactly what i threatened to do. - Jump off the cliff !! - No, seriously;/spanbrbrspan- Opened up Mozbackup and created a back of my Tbird profile. Saved if off computer on my USB. Just in case!/spanbrbrspan- Uninstalled TBird 1.0.7. Rechecked that it was completely uninstalled./spanbrbrspan- Installed Tbird 1.5. May as well upgrade. If not now then when? /spanbrbrspan- At first it didnt render ok. So uninstalled Tbird 1.5 and did another install./spanbrbrspan- Installed ok. Extensions got updated OK. /spanbrbrspan- I can send emails now!brbr/span/fontimg style="width: 154px; height: 195px;" src="/richedit/cliparts/5.gif" border="0" brfont style="color: rgb(0, 128, 255);" size="2"spanbrHoping this will help anyone who gets this sort of problem.br/span/font
