PDitto. Also if u have aim you automaticly get a 1gig aim mail account and a 250mb netscape one.

I have unlimited capacity on my mail account. My other question is why do you need more than a gig of space for mail messages when most are no more than 10-12k for a thousand word e-mail.

warzabidul, the idea with Gmail is that you would never need to delete anything ever again. Hence the large amount of space.
