multiple gmail accounts

Has any one tried opening a second browser, for the purpose of accessing a second gmail account, when one gmail account is already opened in the first browser?
i have three gmail accounts. While i was browsing the first gmail account, i wanted to access another gmail account of mine. the second browser is also opened with the first gmail account only and no log in page appeared. Do you have similar experience?

I tried that, and with IE you can log into two accounts simultaneously, but with Firefox it takes you to the first account like you said.

what could be the technical reason?
something to do with cookies is it not? can any one explain me without much tech words why such a difference between IE and firefox?

With ff the pages are in the same window, different tabs, but the same window. In ie it is seperate windows. That probably has some thing to do with it.

No in firefox you can open seperate windows as well. It has to do with the cookies.

Yeah and you disable cookies gmail doesn't work :P...and sometimes cookies are shared by both IE and Firefox...so heh out of luck :P...
