New web client

Some friends tell me thatthey havea new web client for Gmail with some Gtalk function.
Could someone give me some information how to configure it.

1) Go to http://www.gmail.com .
2) Log in.
3) Scroll down the first page and find "Gmail view:".
4) Select "standard with chat" view.

Which I haven't tried much but the interface and some features seem nice. Nothing hard to configure too.

P.S. For some reason, the Message body of my previous message didn't load... so I couldn't edit it.

Hmm, that reminds me to put that on our official 'bug' list for the Rich Text editor. I've had that happen, too.
If you have trouble with it, you can select "Click here to set normal Text Area as your default" at the bottom of a reply window.

Yes, it's been noted that "US English" has to be chosen as the default language in order to have the chat.
I'm not sure if that's still the case, but it's worth a try.
