gmai view attachment as yahoo did?

hi,

just want to know, why gmail cannot view picture attachment without downloading it like yahoo did?? Or it is in progress??

it will be more easy to view all the message at once without have to click each attachment just to view it

What I think you are saying (I'm not sure) is that you want to view your attachments at the same time as you watch your message (not downloading the attachment). I might be wrong here about your question.

Anyway not viewing the attachment right away is a safety precaution (sp?) Most virusses are in the attachment and if you view the attachment you get the virus. Besides you can get very large attachment and you might not even want to download it.

If gmail would download my attachments for me (instead of me clicking on the attachment) I would leave gmail. Because the risk of opening unkown attachments is just too much of a risk for me.

Maybe your talking about something else, but then I have misunderstood you.

I agree with Tokkolo! However even in yahoo you have to click to open the attachments.

I agree as well.

Though, I do wish there was an option to automatically allow images in html emails to be viewable. That rather annoys me.

Yeah, I would like to get some filter, where you can set: if sender adres is .... allow images (html emails and regular emails).

Yeah, exactly.

I submitted a request awhile ago. I'm hoping enough other people will submit a similar request, and they'll get to it.
