Large file attachments
Hi,
I'm the developer of the GMail Drive tool and am looking to add a few more features for the next release. It's been suggested to me that in order to support large files, it would be possible to just maintain the mails in the Draft folder. But as far as I can test out, the Draft folder does not support files any larger than the usual 10-14 Mb of data. Does anyone have information on how/when the Draft folder supposedly supported large files? And no... spanning the file is not an option. If my tool stops working completely, users will be left with a bunch of files they have no way to assemble again (not without an emergency tool = maintenance chaos). regards bjarke |

I'd like to say congratulations, and thanks for a very useful tool. I've been using for a long time, now.
Sorry, but I've never heard of this supposed property of the Drafts folder, before. Myself, I've never thought it much of an issue, as there are plenty of free, reliable file-splitters available. Perhaps you could enter into an arrangement to have an "officially recommended" one with a download link, and a bit of instruction. |
