Does blogger need access to my adsense account?

after a long absence, went to blogger and created a blog

No, blogger can stand alone without the adsense... That's the invitation from Google for you to joining Google Adsense affiliate programs!

But I have been an Adsense affiliate for a year.
What I am reallyasking is if the email requesting my info is legit?

It is standard procedure i always get that email when starting a blog on blogger it is legit.

It is not necessarily to access the adsense account . The email your received is a google adsense affiliate program.

Hi, me too, once received this kind of mail from Google Affiliate programmes. Its just an inivitation. You may or may not accept it. But if u are a blogger, I must suggest you to sign up with Google Adsence.

Yeah i guess it was legit...as we when you start a blog on blogger they also offer adsense within them...but you can have a stand alone account which is more easier rather than to use the one in blogger...

i think the email is good and if you are a blogger, i must say you must have adsense for the fast indexing of your blog in the Google SE not only that you can earn money out of those ads
