Pedophiles on Blogger
According toBlogger TOS:
Member agrees: (1) to comply with US law regarding the transmission of technical data exported from the United States through the Service; (2) not to use the Service for illegal purposes; (3) not to interfere or disrupt networks connected to the Service; and (4) to comply with all regulations, policies and procedures of networks connected to the Service. Member agrees not to transmit through the Service any unlawful, harassing, libelous, abusive, threatening, or harmful material of any kind or nature. Member further agrees not to transmit any material that encourages conduct that could constitute a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability or otherwise violate any applicable local, state, national or international law or regulation. Attempts to gain unauthorized access to other computer systems are prohibited. There are currently AT LEAST 29pro-pedophile blogs. Pedophilia is illegal. These blogs promote pedophilia. That, to me, is a possible violation ofthe terms of service, not to mention reckless on the part of Blogger, which has no age-restriction in place. There arechildren and teensusing the same sight as the pedophiles who want to meet them. A child who meets a pedophile on Blogger puts Blogger in a very bad light.Blogger has been notified by myself and others, but this was there reply: EMHello, Thank you for your note. Blogger is a provider of content creation tools,BRnot a mediator of that content. We allow our users to create blogs, but weBRdon't make any claims about the content of these pages. In cases whereBRcontact information for the author is listed on the page, we recommendBRworking directly with this person to have this information removed orBRchanged. Sincerely,BRThe Blogger Team/EM They want us to contact the pedophiles. Right, because pedophiles are going to listen to us. The reasonpedophiles are dependent upon other services is because when you host your own content, you are no longer anonymous. You have to buy the domain, you have to get the server set up... on these services like Blogger, the pedophiles canremain anonymous. By taking away these avenues for them, we will be forcing them to condense more on their own sites, non-anonymously. That's their greatest fear. UntilBlogger takes this seriously,I will continue to alert the public to these blogs and Bloggers continued indifference. Anyone who would like to see what, exactly, is on these blogs, let me know and we will get together on IM or via Email. I will not post links to such filth on a public forum (unlike the pedophiles, who WANT children to read that "God sanctions man/boy sexual relationships".) |
