Blogger is amazing...

With approximately 1.5 million users, Blogger is by far the largest, most wide-spread blogging tool in the world. Now owned by Google, things just keep getting better.

The free version is powerful enough for me, and best of all, ad-free when hosted elsewhere. Even when hosted at blogspot. (http://www.blogspot.com) The fact that it doesn't have a storage limit is even better.

Blogging is a great way to express yourself. With the help of the growing size of the internet, more and more people are blogging. With that, more and more views, stories and thoughts are getting published, and available to the world.

The features in Blogger are great. Photo posting, RSS linking, email posting and ample customization.

Blogger reigns crown in the blogging tool world, and personally, I hope that it does. It is without a doubt the best blogging tool available. It has made my blogging experience great.

I agree! Blogger is a great tool. In fact, it used to power my own blog. Now I use Movable Type 3.0D, on my own server. IMO, Blogger is great for beginners!

I notice they're not even selling Blog*Spot Plus anymore:

"Can I order Blog*Spot Plus?
We've stopped taking orders for this product. Blog*Spot Plus is still fully supported and we are providing priority support to Pro and Plus users.

But don't worry- we're working as hard as we can to build fun, new stuff into Blogger!"

http://help.blogger.com/bin/answer.p...r=132&topic=31

Gratuitous historical footnote: Back when Blogger was still owned by Pyra, they charged $35 a year for extra features. I can't even remember what they were, but it wasn't Blog*spot. Anyhow, when Google bought Blogger, they made the pay features available to everyone for free. As a way of compensating those who'd paid Pyra, Google sent out nice sweatshirts. They had the Blogger logo on the front, and "Powered by Google" in small letters above one of the cuffs.

Edit: I just looked at the Google Store -- they're selling pretty much the same sweatshirt for $24.99.

On my server, I now using b2evolution. I'm still using blogger though. The main reason I switched was because b2 complies fully with W3C standards. Blogger, as far as I know, doesn't, fully. If they ever change that, I think I will use blogger exclusively. I am having a few problems with the post-by-email feature in b2. That is a key feature for me.

Can you elaborate on what is so special in W3C standards?
