Traffic Help
I just got my site up and running and i get about 30 visitors a day with only sumiting to a few free directories. How do I get more traffic to my site? I tried googles sitemap. I put the file that google looks for in my root folder exactly how it should be and google says it can't be verified because it can't find the file. If someone could help me summit my site to google it would be much apreciated. Also, if your intrested in being an admin to a forum pm me.

30 visitors in the beginning just from directories is pretty good.
If you want to add it to google go to http://www.google.com/addurl, and in max. 2 weeks you'll be listed there. Or the easier method: if you're already listed in directories, it means you already have backlinks. If the directories are listed in google, google will cache them within some weeks, and their robot will follow the link to Your site aswell, and cache your site, so you'll get listed then. P.S.: I PMed you about being an admin..

If you're very serious about getting more traffic to your site, you could try using Google AdWords. Submitting your site to directories is a good way to get listed in Google, because most directories are fairly well indexed.

Yeah, andrew247, you're REALLY right. I thought on that a bit. If you get your traffic through adwords, it means you get ad-clicking traffic, which will hopefully click your ads as well. Try out adwords! If your site is well optimized, you will even get some extra earnings..
