a vital question about link exchanges

guys where do u get reciprocal links to ur site when u exchange links they always throw me into there directory never on the front page what do u guys think????

I don't really understand your question.

Directories will never put your site on their front page. If you exchange links with other sites, the page, where your partner will put your site is a part of the deal. It's usually not the front page, though. Most sites has some kind of "linking partners" sections. That's where they'll put your link.

That is right. You also need not/ should not link from your home page!
