There's no telling what Google can find out; they seem to be pretty smart about such things. Is there a way the you can get your parents to dash off a note of permission? How close to 18 are you? If you're pretty close, you may want to e-mail Google, and see if they'll make an exception. maybe some of the younger folks know the answer to this. I think that there are some young Adsense publishers around here.

Why not get your parents to sign up to everything, and you'll just "Administer" "their" site?

Unless you're on really bad terms with your parents - i really see nothing wrong asking your mother / father to give their name and cash a cheque every so often.

Or just Wait until you're 18, or lie :P

If you lie: legally, you can loose all your earnings and or account (since if you're 17, and have an adsence account, legally - the account should not exist)

Hello,
The problem is that my parent pay about 55% tax on his income (the swedish tax system ). I pay only about 10% tax. So if I create an account in his name I'll have to pay 55% tax on the income from adsense.

Regards

They do what!?? That is theft. :P

I don't think you have to pay tax on Adsense earning.

Yeah, I didn't think you had to pay taxes unless you signed on as a business or youmade above a certain amount, maybe $600 dollars, orabove, here in the US.

IANATA (I am not a tax advisor), but in the United States, you definitely do have to pay tax on your income, including AdSense earnings. You must pay taxes if your annual income is above a certain amount, which is somewhere around $600. Under your parent's name, they would pay taxes on it, as appropriate.

If you're 18, and operating by yourself as an individual, then what Anita said applies. If you're under 18, use you're parent or guardian's account until then.

mondine is an unknown quantity at this point
Yes, tax laws vary by locality.
But generally speaking, income is income.

On the other hand, if it is a business account, expenses could exceed income and be a net 'paper loss' that could actually reduce a claimant's taxes.

But you'd want to have local, professional advice.

They wont make exeptions, I asked for an exception about 1 month before my 18th b'day - rejected!

How is the government going to know whether you have an AdSense account or not. :P
Except for all the checks going into the bank.
