Why Google is paying so less to me?
Why Google is paying so less to me?brbrFor last 6 weeks, google is paying very less for the clicks generated. Like it pays $0.01 for one click. And sometimes even there are clicks, no earning is generated.brbrEarlier, I was used to get good earning for clicks but don't know what happened then that suddenly the earning ratio has gone so down that to make $1 per day is a dream now for me.brbrI would really appreciate your help/suggestion in this matter at urgent.brbrLinks are in my signature.br

It's not easy to say what is causing this.
It might be smartpricing. It might be publishers in your niche lowering the price for the ads. It might be that people use site-targeting (which explains the zero-clicks). |

Site-Targeting is when an AdWords advertiser chooses to display ads on your site only (he has to enter that manually through his account, or you can show an 'advertise on this site' on your ads and they'll click it).
These kind of ads are CPI (Cost Per Impression). So he says that for each 1000 impressions he'll pay 1$. Clicks do not earn you money - only impressions in this case. The ads themselves compete against normal CPC ads - whoever has the higher eCPM wins. This usually happens only if your site is big or popular... Otherwise it's not likely that someone will advertise just on your site. |

I dont think that someone will advertise on my site this way.
There must be some other issue behind the less income and less pay per click generated. getting paid just $0.01 or $0.02 per clicks is so depressive. I need an expert to analyse my site and do let me know the exact solution. your support will be highly appreciated. |

Okay. I registered and could now log in.
1. The ads I see in the forums are really not targetted. All of them show MP3 songs or phone 'jokes'. I guess this is your main problem. Note that the main page shows a bit better ads - at least they are about India (and you are from India, right?). I think that the problem is that the forums are private, and the google bot cannot access them, and hence you don't get targetted ads. Did your earnings drop shortly after you made the forums private? I strongly suggest you let people view your forum in a public way! If you can't get targetted ads - then maybe AdSense is not the best tool for you. You better try some static advertisment (and not contextual ones). Maybe affiliating will work for you. 2. If you do remain with AdSense. I would also try to put ads between posts, and not just at the top (like the Google Community does). I once did that in a phpBB forum, it's easy and it might help your CTR rise a bit. I would anyway put more than one ad block. maybe at the bottom, if not between posts. I would also try AdLink units, which are doing wonders for me. I hope this helps. Last year me and my girlfriend (now wife) returned from a 2 month trip to northern india, mainly in the Himalayas. It was beautiful, fun, colorful, noisy and extremly tasty (I just love indian food). |

Thanks a million for taking time and registering and sharing ur valuable inputs.
Yes, the earnings went down after i made the categories private. I didnt think of it. perhaps, it may be the reason. Now let me make them public again and will see for couple of weeks the result. Yes, Himalayas is the very beatiful place of India. Mostly North India is a very cold place. Hiamalyas have its own history. I am sure, u must have enjoyed ur staying there. Even western part of India is good, mostly Rajasthan state with its Palaces. Do let me know if u plan to visit Indian again, I might guide u a bit. |

I loved northern India, and I certainly hope to visit again sometime. We haven't been to Rajasthan, but we have been to Amritzar, and I think the Sikh's gold temple is the most amazing place I've ever been to.
You can see our travelogue (mainly pictures) from India here: http://www.RonMertens.com/india I'm quite positive your earnings will rise now again, just give Google some time to crawl your pages. You'll need to find a way to make people register now! |
