Hi,
In order to increase your ecpm and income I would recommend: - Try to increase the quality and orientation of your content. I mean: Don't mix things. Choose one subject and try to be the best. - Promote your site: Get links from valuable sources, - Remove or test positions, sizes, colors and combinations of Ads with a low CTR, - Install a Google tracker to be able to now those low quality advertisers (specially "made for adsense" sites). Then, ban them. But most of all: Put your efforts in unique and quality content. HTH. Good luck! |

If you get 10$ for every 100 unique visitors, congratulations! If you get 10$ for every 100 clicks, obviously you should have to try to increase your ecpm. What is the site about? Is it technical-interview.com? Last edited by Diegoz; 02-07-2007 at 09:44 AM. |

ITGuy: Your site is interesting, useful and promising. Really, I'm not jocking.
My advise: - Try to get more incoming links from topic related websites using the most valuable keywords. This will increase your rankings and the 'quality' of your site to Google eyes. - Manually submit to directories or hire a good service. You can spend some of the money you are earning in paying a good submission professional. Don't stop: Every month some new links. - In some pages (technical-interview.com/techinterview.aspx) I would test changing the vertical skyscrapers for a big rectangle above the fold. Up-left better in this case. - To increase the ecpm I would only use one skyscraper and probably a big rectangle on the other pages. - I have changed to a model with only one ad on some of my pages and works very good for me. Try it and compare. - Test one page at a time. Don't change everything in one go. See what works and what not. Track every page and every ad. Probably one Ad catches almost all clicks. - Keep adding useful and valuable content. More pages with content = more visits = more money - Don't saturate users with ads everywhere. Choose wisely based on previous experiments. Objective: Considering the topic of your site, if you increase your visits to 500/day and the CTR you could get a lot of bucks very soon Good luck, and don't forget to come back and tell us how it goes!
