got the first google cheque today

i've been 'playing' adsense for 2 months, finally got my first cheque.

it's too difficult to earn big $$$ with google, but enough to pay for some cheap hosting package...

I'm still working up to mine, I've had Google Adsense on my site for at-least 3 weeks now, but I guess my visitors just don't click ads

well, you can't force your visitor to click your ads. my 'trick' - if you like - is to filter out some 'underperformers(UPers)'...

how to identify an 'Uper'? i'm not quite sure. but what i did was: 1. guess 2. filter some and see the performance of the un-filtered, then change when necessary. 3. pick out 'professional' looking ads...

That's interesting. I run my website, or at least I will, as a hobby not a job. I will be going to night school + working a full time job after school, so I could use $150/month. I didn't know you could make that much. It will really help out on my tuition, because I have a feeling the scholarships won't be flocking into place like I want.

It's not easy. You may get $150/month, but you may also have $100/month in server fees, not to mention all the work you have to put into the site.

Remember also that you're not supposed to make a site just for AdSense.
