Display URL Inaccurate Help Plz
Hi all,
I have a few display ads and changed the display url to a domain I pay for but the original domain is forwarded to it.. My site is on www.forvictoria.com/in_memory_of.html and its forwarded to www.rainbowbridgepoems.com which is vaild and paid for. When I changed the display url from www.forvictoria.com/in_memory_of.html to the forwarded domain url which is www.rainbowbridgepoems.com Google stopped my ads and told me the display url is inaccurate. Can anyone tell me why? I would prefer the rainbowbridgpoems.com to show as the display url. Thank you, Victoria |

Hi,
I just saw a new name on active users screen and found your post, lost among hundreds of new threads coming up every hour. If you haven't got any answer to your post, you can revive it by adding submitting new post in that thread with something like "Help! F1...... F1 ....... F1". Just joking Anyway, as I can understand, you have problems with Google adds when changing domain name. I don't know why it happens, but I'm sure you can find an answer if you look up on which domain you have registered your google adds account. |

There is an 'e' if you look closer
4Victoria - nock, nock When I tried to open www.rainbowbridgepoems.com, it redirected me on www.forvictoria.com/in_memory_of.html - that's where your issue come from. You are advertising adds for "rainbowbridgepoems.com", but for Google it's showing up as "www.forvictoria.com/in_memory_of.html". Let us know if it helped!? |

Sorry, it's all backwards! "forvictoria.com/in_memory_of.html" does not redirect to anywhere, instead "www.rainbowbridgepoems.com" redirects to "forvictoria.com/in_memory_of.html". try it yourself: Enter "www.rainbowbridgepoems.com" in your browser, you'll end up on "forvictoria.com" Enter "forvictoria.com/in_memory_of.html" in your browser, you'll end up on the same page. |

Doh, we've missed the point here....
Yes, Google Addwords does not support redirects and there is a simple logical explanation to that! Imagine that someone created an ADD: "Welcome to www.happy-children.com" which redirects to "adultxxx.com" - anyone who clicked on that ADD would be redirected to adultsxx web site! This can not be allowed! Good luck! |
