Adsense may have fierce competition...

It seems that Google's Ad Sense is quickly becoming replaced by rivals.

Many publishers are concluding that the risk of AdSense isn't worth it and realizing they can operate their own text-link advertising programs and generate far more revenue per month than with AdSense.

Then there are the many affiliate options (oh, the horror!). For popular blog sites, there's also the burgeoning BlogAds network. It's as easy to operate as AdSense and much more targeted and lucrative than AdSense. Another one to bear watching is RSSAds, which hasn't launched its service yet, but promises to allow publishers to monetize their RSS feeds. It's sort of an AdSense for RSS feeds.

Maybe Google's looking at something similar on their own. They'd be silly not to. Given Google's stated mission of blanketing online content with content-targeted ads, you can bet they will be watching that outfit closely.
Now I am a fierce Google fan but I may switch to Blog Ads or RSS Ads. I have been seeing them on many blogs now (replacing Google's Ad Sense) but I will investigate further to see if it really is more profitable. Selah!

Is there a number of hits required to not get kicked off the service?

Thanks,
Paul

Actually, nobody is allowed to do a website solely for AdSense. It's against the terms and conditions.

Yes, i know that. Just to ask: How much do you think a regular small site could earn with adsense monthly? And Elliot, I am definitly not just doing it for Adsense (www.cyplace.tk) has been up for years, and it is probably never going down. So nah, it's not all for profit .

But honsetly, how much could i make off that?

Heh, i'm not trying to be greedy here, but it sounds like a very good deal, --no expense except a few ads, and maybe a little bit of income (Which i really need).

So, any estimates?

Thanks,
Paul

Here's how I would calculate a "low" estimate. This is not specific to AdSense - it could work for any CPC ad publishing system.

This is based on a 1.0% CTR and $0.05 per click (low estimates).

#Impressions x 0.01 x 0.05

For example, if you get 1000 impressions per day:

1000 x 0.01 x 0.05 = $0.50 per day.

50 cents per day is $182.50 in a year! (Based on 365 days/year)

Hmm, how frequently does the paycheck come? Monthly? Also, was that based on a ground level salary (your estimate), or what you think a good site would get, because i guarantee, 1000 clicks a day is way too much for my site, lol, i would be lucky to get ten Is there a way to earn more from the site? --besides getting more hits,of course.
