"add stuff"

Could someone please explain the "add stuff" option to me? When something is added, for example, the "timer", do you have to remain on the actual Google page for it to work, and in order to be notified of when the timer is finished counting down?
Also, the "changing Google logo" option ( from the add stuff page ) does not work! I made my choices, and then saved them, and nothing has changed!! What else has to be done to take advantage of these benefits?

bjames, I'm not sure you posted this in the right category. This forum is about AdWords & AdSense, but it sounds like you might be talking about iGoogle-- also known as the Google Personalized Homepage. Is this the case?

Elliot,
Thank you for your reply. Yes, I am talking about iGoogle, and I am trying to take advantage of the offered "add stuff". This is where I was having "NO RESULTS" to the choices I made. Where do I go and what do I do next to acheive these preferences?

if you want to know something, try to search it first:

Using iGoogle

add stuff + igoogle - Google Search

if everything failed, maybe there's a problem on you end, or bug on iGoogle, try to contact them
