addowrds; sponsored links; center vs right

google keeps telling me i have an average position of 1.2; but it seems to me every time i use the search i'm 3-6.

try "sma adapter". there are 2 sponsored links on the top center/left outlined in yellow ; & then a column of sponsored of sponsored links on the right, of which this time i'm #4. (i'm sm electronics)

sometimes i'm second from the top on the right; but never on the top left, in the yellow highlighted area

how do i get into tyhe "yellow"? why does goodle say i'm on average 1.2, but every time i try i'm 4, 5, or 6?

Seriously, that is an average position and averages can be different depending on how long you have been running the campaign. If it says you are in an average spot of 1.2 that means you are pretty much where you want to be most of teh time according to your own specifications. That is good.

it also depends, if you run your campaign worldwide, you will always see it in one average position but maybe in another country they see it always first because there are less advertisers targeting this country, so overall your average position will be higher than what you can see in your location.
