Click fraud occurs when an advertiser's ad is clicked by someone who isn't really interested in what's being advertised. This can be someone who's clicking just to earn revenue, or someone who just wants to cost the advertiser money. There are many ways to detect this, including IP addresses, cookies, and general visitor tracking. There's no one software tool for detecting it, but there are some AdSense trackers that can report to you which ads are being clicked, and by which IPs.
