Revenue increase...

Recently I had a messageboard running that was generating almost half of my google traffic but was not generating much google $$. I switched it to a different program and almost immedialty my google revenue increased (page cpm doubled)and I'm easily making 20% more on half the page impressions.

Any body have any insites into this... do you think google pays more on less taffic but a large % of clickthroughs??

What program were you using and what is your new one?

As far as I know google only cares about the number of clicks you get, the amout of traffic doesn't matter at all. (Until they roll out their new CPM based ads that is!)

The CPC does not depend on traffic , rather it depends on keywords ...
so there is no question to pay less for large traffic , If you have good CTR you can earn more from large traffic

it depends on the targeted keywords.. it's an advantage if you got higher traffic.. more traffic = more chances to click your google ads..

Certain sites drive readers with different motivations. If you have an investing site, for example, readers are looking for information and will click. If you have a humor site, they are looking to be entertained and are less likely to click but more likely to up your page views. If you have a forum, they won't click at all because they are there to ask and answer and the ads end up getting scrolled past very quickly.

Just my 2 cents.
