The Ins and Outs of Adsense - Achieving Top CPC Payout Rates

The Ins and Outs of the Adsense Program: Achieving Top CPC Payout Rates

Now, first off - we don't condone or encourage people to create sites, solely around the keywords - however, I always say if you do, create complete sites with tons of information, great written content and tons of resources such as free shareware software for visitors to download, forums or community boards and definitely appealing design and layout. There is no point in creating a 3 page site simply repeating a high paying keywords - as you are just asking Google to ban/disable your account.

That being said; I do have a friend who creates sites using the Googlest.com List keywords - and his sites are amazing! I won't list their links as I don't want people to copy his efforts or content - but I will say what he is doing right. BTW, he generates a monthly income in the mid-high $X,XXX range with his network of 3 information sites.

There are many factors involved in achieving the high end of the payout rates for the top paying keywords that many of you may not know about so I will list them here one by one and explain the significance of each.

But before I do - I will state what the Google Adsense program is meant for: Pretty much, the Google Adsense program is a complimentary extension of the Google Adwords program, where advertisors and publishers - pay Google to have their ads featured on the Google search network. Now, the Adsense program allows for advertisors to have their ads featured more broadly by allowing publishers outside of the Google search engine to have those same Adword's Publishers ads featured on sites that are relevant to their selling content or product. This is achieved by having ads generated on web pages based on the page's content so that relevant ads appear. Cool huh?

So to be successful as an Adsense publisher, you must really think like an Adwords Advertiser and think what they hope to achieve by paying for their ads to be listed on outside sites. So as an Adwords publisher you want the most bang for your advertising dollar. You also want your ads placed on relevant sites. A dance studio will only want their ads on sites where their potential client may visit, such as a dance-related forum or a site providing information or selling videos about dance.

Also, as a publisher you want your ads targeted regionally, so a Dance studio in Los Angelos may advertise nationally to gain exposure, but may prefer to have visitors who are located in the greather Los Angelos Area or california clicking on their ad, as opposed to a visitor from New York who may just be a "looker" and may never be a potential student in the class. Even with nationwide firms or services, they put money into knowing who their prime and highest paying clients are - so a debt consolidation firm that operates nationwide, will know their client demographics and may advertise nationwide - but will pay more per click for visitors from region where they know they will do better, because there sadly is more people there in debt.

So how does Google know where the publisher is and where the clicker is located? Simple: IP address. Well its not that simple - there are also sofisticated algorithms involved - but we'll get into that later.

Some people have trouble getting a certain keyword to be generated on their site to begin with. This may be attributed to may reasons. One is strength of content. Sometimes in order for an ad to appear based on a keyword, such as "Honda Accessories" so that ads for "Honda Accessories" appear on your site, that keyword - or simply the word "Honda" and Links with the words "Honda" may have to be repeated several times in the page content.

Now, if your keyword is "Class Action Lawyers" and you live in an area where there are no Class action Lawyers who are paying through the Adwords System to have their ads featured on Adsense sites, you will not see that ad generated - but one of your visitors in an area where there is a Class Action Lawyer who is paying for his ad on the Adwords network - may see that ad!

Back to getting the average or high end of the payout rate for top paying keywords:

As an adwords advertisor, you will want your ad placed on the best and most relevant sites - especially if you are bidding top dollar for your ad. You will not want you ad on a site where the content is weak and the person is simply repeating the keywords - and you definitely don't want your ad on a site with low traffic or a low Google Page Rank! So all that factors in!

Top paying advertiser will have their ads featured on sites that have been deemed by the Google Adsense Bot to have high quality content and high Page Rank. To find what your Google Page rank is: search google for "Page Rank Tool" there are many out there. Here is a popular one: http://www.top25web.com/pagerank.php - Page Rank goes like this: 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest and best!

Think of it this way; for a keyword like "debt consolidation", there are literally tons of paying advertisors on the Adwords Network - with the biggest firms paying top dollar (up to $25 per click) to get prime potential leads - and the smallest firms paying as low as 10 cents for leads. So if your site has a low page rank, has low traffic, and the Google Adsense Bot thinks your site has poor content - you can only expect the lowest paying Advertisors ad to appear on your site!

QUESTION: How can an advertisor actually pay up to $200+ for a Keyword such as Yahoo Domains? Well, it goes like this - first, that advertisor may not even be Yahoo selling their domain services - It can be any competing domain service wanting a piece of Yahoo's Domain service's action - as Yahoo is a leader in that industy. Secondly, that advertisor may only be paying that much to a select few "clickers" who are located in a select region - where they know their prime customers exist - such as a Technology hub like Silicon Valley - and at that, it may only be a certain area of that region! So why would they pay so much for 1 click even at that? Their belief would be that if they get a visitor who ends up buying just one domain from them for $10, that in the long run - by way of brand loyalty that user may purchase over 200 domains from them over 1 year - (as domain buying can become addictive) and they will gain a major client in the process who will be with them for years and years and will keep renewing their domain names every year - so they will easily recoup the cost per click to gain that client!

TOOLS OF THE TRADE:

One of the best ways to get listed in search engines is our Search Engine Submission Software which can be purchased on the Googlest.com Home Page for $25. This software is deceptively simple to use and in its design - but don't let that fool you! There is no better software to get listed on all the major search engines such are yahoo, google, msn, ask, excite etc - and it gets you listed fast and keeps your site updated in listing. Our parent company Random9 Ventures Inc. (www.R9V.com) uses this software for all our sites such as www.SeatBeltPads.com and we are listed #1 for all our major keywords such as: seat belt pads, seat belt shoulder pads, custom seat belt pads, lexus seat belt pads (or any other car brand) on all the search engines! We also use this software for the Googlest.com Search Submission Center found here: http://www.SearchSubmissionCenter.com - and all our customers are always thrilled with the results - but now we are offering our software for an introductory price of $25 so you can do unlimited submissions for all your sites! But with all good things - the price will go up quite a bit soon!

Also, If you have a 2 or more sites, make sure to create a network link section at the bottom of your sites, by putting a link of all the sites you own at the bottom of every site you own. The search engines will index this information and your ranking will go up! To see an example of this, check out the bottom of: http://www.freeih.com

Another great tip I can add to this peice would be to break up your content into more pages - so that you can get more pages with Adsense ads on them and this will also cause your pages to generate the ads you want more readily.

So create sites with great content, valuable information, free stuff for visitors, great design and layout, good search engine optimization through meta tags and page content, use of our search submission software - and increasing Google Page rank - and you will see dramatic results. It also doesn't hurt to do good targetted advertising - as this is what this system and our great Countries are built on anyway!

Lastly, I'll say this; Adsense is a system built to aid advertisors not to scam them! So if you actually help them in their efforts, you can be rewarded nicely and have a great site, online magazine, blog or community in the end to show for it, which may end up having great resell value down the line and you will also be rewarded handsomely for your efforts through adsense! So, if you built it - they will come! And you will get paid! Getting the hang of it may be a matter of trail and error at first, but once you do - it will start getting easier, less work, more money, lots of fun and definitely worth every minute you put into it - this I guarantee!

It sounds like what you are saying is if you want to do well on adsense you need to:
1. Choose keywords that pay well
2. Optimize in a way that shows you are a real site with quality traffic.

Am I getting your drift?
